Sometimes I see stories having really good lines, one or two lines kinda like stardust in a story that makes me go, this author is onto something! And I wish they'd go on, but they just stop there, and I think, god there's potential here, if they go on, deeper, further. I've only picked up writing for a year, it's been almost a year and I'm growing slowly, the past year I focused on length mostly. But yeah, now that I feel that I can write at greater lengths, I am focusing on narrative structure, POVs especially, I noticed I have a bad habit of head-hopping and switching POVs within a single scene, I'm trying to correct this, I'm also trying to teach myself how to transition smoothly, because if you noticed, my writing is very fragmented.
